Livré au plus offrant durant la dictature militaire, le territoire de Corumbiara, dans l'État de Rondônia (Brésil), fut en 1985 le site d'un massacre d'un groupe d'Indiens isolés qui vivaient dans cette partie de l'Amazone. À cette époque nul ne se souciait du massacre malgré les indices indéniables du crime. Plusieurs années plus tard, Carelli peut enfin entrer en contact avec des survivants et connaître le fin mot de l'histoire. / Auctioned during the military rule in Brazil, the land of Corumbiara, southern Rondônia State, in 1985 became the site of a mass slaughter of Indians who lived isolated in that part of the Amazon. Despite visible signs of attempts to erase traces of the crime, the case fell into oblivion. Ten years on, Carelli retraces the tortuous trail of this story, which reveals unequivocal signs of the crimes perpetrated against Indigenous peoples, in a savage process of land appropriation in the Amazon.
