Engraving in four colours: chestnut brown, red ochre, green and black. In a forest, two women, whose pose alludes to their fright, observe Wily-Beaver being dropped into the cooking pot. The bear's massive black form stands out clearly behind the cauldron. The beaver's red ochre gives a foretaste of what will happen to his poor carcass as soon as the bear's powerful par drops it into the boiling water.
